"When you look in the mirror, do you see the
weight of unspoken truths?"
It is a question that sits at the heart
of Asia'Jonas’ (A-GEE-Ahnnas) artistic practice.

Born in Columbus, Georgia, and now based in Atlanta,
Asia'Jona is a contemporary visual artist whose work is rooted in the belief
that art can reveal what words alone cannot. Art has always been her sanctuary.
For as long as she can remember, creating has been her way of making sense of
experiences that felt too big, too complex, or too deeply felt to explain.
Painting became the place where she learned to tell the truth to herself before
sharing it with others.

Over time, she realized she was no longer creating only
to understand her own experiences. She was giving shape to something shared.
The quiet truths we carry, the parts of ourselves we protect, and the emotions
that often exist beyond language. What began as a deeply personal practice
evolved into an invitation for others to recognize pieces of themselves within
the work.

Working through contemporary abstraction and neo-expressionism,
Asia'Jona creates paintings that hold the full range of human experience.
Through expressive mark making, layered surfaces, and intuitive composition,
she creates a visual language for what is often felt but not easily spoken.
Each painting invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and encounter themselves
with honesty, curiosity, and presence.

Whether someone encounters her work in a gallery, a collector's home, or
during a quiet moment of reflection, Asia'Jona hopes each painting becomes more
than something to observe. She hopes it becomes a place where people feel seen,
where unspoken truths are honored, and where art serves as both a mirror and a
gentle return to presence.

This is more than a gallery. It’s a return to presence. A permission to be seen.Presence is my new favorite medium, the one I return to again and again. What’s yours?
